At the end of the irrigation season, sprinkler heads are also collected through lateral pipelines laid on the soil surface. This type of systems is called under-tree micro sprinkler system. Under-Tree Micro Sprinkler systems are systems in which the crown projections of trees are irrigated with special mini sprinklers from under the tree. Under-tree micro sprinkler systems can be preferred since the initial installation costs are lower than the drip irrigation system. It is especially used on trees with wide crown projection, and the sprinklers used in these systems should be selected and designed taking into account the slope and soil structure of the land.
Specially made small sprinkler heads are used to irrigate orchards from under trees. In this system, a polyethylene (PE) lateral pipeline laid on the surface is laid on each row of trees, and a specially made small sprinkler head is placed under each tree. The system is completely fixed.
